Sign and Sky Watch

How do you react when you see these sign? I chuckled and giggled I can't contained myself. Why in the first place there is a road or street name like this? I only wonder how the road name is created is there a history to it? A legend or a myth? What ever it is, it made me think if I have to right turn hahahahaha!

  11. It might be named after John H. Slaughter, also known as "Texas" John slaughter, a lawman, Civil War soldier and gambler, famous back in the late 1800s. He was only 5 feet 2 inches tall, but he was usually well-armed. Here's a link to more info about him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Horton_Slaughter . Thanks for your comment..It snowed again today here in the mountains of northeastern California! I'm ready for warm days!

  14. I know a family with this last name. That is probably how this street got its name. Most roads are named for someone or something connected with the property that the road was built on. The least the government can do is name the road after the family that had to give up a good chunk of there land to build the project.
