Red, Yellow and Blue

One place that I like to visit here in Michigan is the Frederick Meijers Gardens and Sculpture Park it's location is in Grand Rapids a two hours drive from my place. They have shows about different flowers and some famous artist often have shows there too. The last time hubby and I went there in there cafeteria the ceiling was decorated so beautifully. I just forget what was the name of the artist who made it and the name but it is very colorful and very unique.

It is very gorgeous right? I think it is made of glass what you think? And remember they are all hung on the ceiling I had to zoom in the camera so I could take a good picture. How they put this up there is amazing and how does the artist made this so intricately woven to each tother so it won't fall. ^_^ Amazing piece of art work.

Beautiful Arts

Last Friday hubby and I went to Detroit Institute of Arts to see Rembrandt and the face of Jesus. But when we arrived there tickets are sold out. Good thing the exhibition will last till February 12, 2012. So since we are there and outside was raining hard we opted to see the other arts exhibits and galleries. I am amazed of so many beautiful paintings it was displayed. Somebody did tell each painting to who paint it and what the painting is all about. I think if you look the painting closely, you could tell who and what stories these came from. Except the second mosaic the photo on the left at the bottom, it's not a story from the bible. It's about a boy who is madly in love to this goddess...forgot the name of the boy and the goddess. ^_^

Christmas Tree Cards

I made a childhood Christmas tree two weeks ago. And it keep on falling down. Many of my ornaments were broken. So I decided to cut it down and let the peach ornament balls as more prominent colors for my ornaments. And  then I added the Christmas cards hubby and I received.

                The other day I received a Christmas card from the Dias family!! Thanks Dhemz!

            This photo was taken yesterday see the added Christmas cards? And I put a little embellishment
                                               on the basket a purple color ornaments.

And with what happened in the Philippines. And the loss of my close friend this sunset color reminds me that life is so short, that we don't know when is the time we will be gone in this world, that material things is not important. Why I say this, in my conversation with my friend ( the wife) both of us were crying as she told me the ordeal they experienced in the flash flood. I have friends in the city were the flash flood and typhoon lashed out so I asked her about our friends. Does anybody also died or missing? She told me that  one of our friend loses his whole house....but all of my friends and there relatives were fine except my friend's husband who is also my close friend, who died. It bring me to cry more because I REALIZE THERE AND THEN MATERIAL THINGS DOESN'T MATTER. I told her material things that we can see and gain it again but not the life. THE LIFE OF MY CLOSE FRIEND and my FRIENDS husband. And we will never see my friend again. But I still could not ever believe this will happened and I am very sad with what happened. 

                                     To you my friend. May you rest in peace you are always remembered.

Boys Showdown

                                       One month ago hubby and I went to Port Huron. While at the boardwalk we saw three boys practicing their skateboard stunts. As I was watching them I thought of taking pictures so I asked them if I could shot them and they gladly agree.

                   They willingly agreed to show me their stunts and they are pretty good at it. I asked their

   Went to SA and Goodwill last Thursday and found some very good stuff that made me smile.

Below: I took this right away for this will be my Advent wreath/candle holder $2.99, steamed glass 8 pcs for .56 cents

My Mondays Photo's

I saw this beautiful little garden at our local garden store and I immediately fall in love with it. I'd like to re-create this in my front yard next year, of course, no pumpkins but the flowers will be inside and some other flowers too. Crossing my fingers I can do it.

                   Hubby and I went to visit the Capuchin Retreat House at Washington, Michigan and I love it there. The place is so quite and  it is really a place for a retreat.
