I planted this flower cone last year and I kind of liking it. But this kind of flower is one of the favorite of Japanese beetle that is why some of the flowers has many holes on it. Just do not like insects but I think they have to be eat too. ^_^

I have heard the best way to handle Japanese beetles is to hand-pick them and drop them in soapy water - yuck!!!

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any beetles on mine, just goldfinches who love the seeds. We have some white cones also.
