Oftentimes I found thrift store is really a thrift store. I happened to find this
beautiful blazer. It's an Anne Klein, does it look really beautiful? And oh the price it's less than $10.00. For me it's a steal.

You all have the gifts.
When you don't have a kid the tendency you all have the gifts from hubby. Yesterday, hubby and I went shopping at an outlet mall and I really did shopped till I dropped. Hubby knew I am a smart shopper so he just told me to shop and he waited at the parking lot inside the car sleeping! I did find good deals and hubby told me that it's the gifts that he wanted to give me, since he doesn't want to give a gift that I do not like. Well here is my little Christmas tree surrounded with gifts. But hey, hubby is missing this morning. Woke up at 8:30 am and he is gone. I called his brother L. asked him if he went to our family brunch and he did but he already gone. Hmmm did I smell gifts pouring??? ^_^

Thrifted
I was at the basement the other day and I discovered I had this Christmas tree before I kind of forgot this one. It's ceramic and it only take one bulb the colors are just plastic look like bulb. It's pretty.
I choose to put this nativity scene this year because I feel like missing home and back in the Philippines we don't have beautiful nativity scene. We recreate what is most closely where baby Jesus was born, could be in a cave or in a stable somewhere. So this nativity scene is almost close. Thrifted, my step daughter gave this to me.
Thrifted, this napkin ring is so cute. I only have four and I love it. Now I am over addict to find napkin rings and I bought a lot yesterday. ^_^

Christmas Tree Cards
I made a childhood Christmas tree two weeks ago. And it keep on falling down. Many of my ornaments were broken. So I decided to cut it down and let the peach ornament balls as more prominent colors for my ornaments. And then I added the Christmas cards hubby and I received.
The other day I received a Christmas card from the Dias family!! Thanks Dhemz!
This photo was taken yesterday see the added Christmas cards? And I put a little embellishment
on the basket a purple color ornaments.
And with what happened in the Philippines. And the loss of my close friend this sunset color reminds me that life is so short, that we don't know when is the time we will be gone in this world, that material things is not important. Why I say this, in my conversation with my friend ( the wife) both of us were crying as she told me the ordeal they experienced in the flash flood. I have friends in the city were the flash flood and typhoon lashed out so I asked her about our friends. Does anybody also died or missing? She told me that one of our friend loses his whole house....but all of my friends and there relatives were fine except my friend's husband who is also my close friend, who died. It bring me to cry more because I REALIZE THERE AND THEN MATERIAL THINGS DOESN'T MATTER. I told her material things that we can see and gain it again but not the life. THE LIFE OF MY CLOSE FRIEND and my FRIENDS husband. And we will never see my friend again. But I still could not ever believe this will happened and I am very sad with what happened.
To you my friend. May you rest in peace you are always remembered.

Worth Watching
I do not know if you experienced this..every time I set in front of the TV trying to relax I found all the shows are not worth watching for. Do you experienced that? I flipped the channel almost a dozen times but ca not find a good show to watch. Or did I just missed the shows? This morning our DRE gave a small magazine called CATHOLIC DIGEST! I do love Catholic Digest since I first read it and that was in the early 90's in the Philippines. In fact, when I resigned from work I brought all my copies and keep it at home for re-reading. This time I've meet again the CATHOLIC DIGEST and as I was flipping the pages there is a lot of changes on the contents. One that I like is WORTH WATCHING page which I would like to share with you friends.

Watch!
"Watch, therefore; you do not know when the lord of the house is coming, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning. " ( Mk 13:35)
Every couple of years someone announces the discovery of a coded message in the Scriptures that tells when the end of the world is going to happen.
Usually, it's going to happen very soon....and sometimes there's even a specific date. I can be sure of one thing: There is absolutely no truth in any of these claims, no matter how sincere those who make them may be. How can I be so sure of that?
First of all, Scriptures is not filled with "secrets" that are in some sort of code. Second, Jesus was clear about his question of "when" the end of the world will happen. In the first part of chapter 13 of Mark's Gospel (the verses that immediately precede this week's reflection), Jesus talks about the destruction of Jerusalem (which took place in 70 A.D.) and also about the end of history. Peter, James, John and Andrew were with him, and they ask him when this will happen. Jesus responds: "Of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father."
Jesus says that he himself, as a human being, doesn't know. It's clear as clear can be: No one on earth knows when the world will end.
According to scientific calculations, the earth will be habitable for a billion more years. It could well be that we are only in the early stages of God's plan.
Now, that gives me a different perspective. source: www.littlebooks.org
My reflection: It is very clear in the bible that even Jesus don't know when the world ends. And why there are so many church leaders who taught their members that the world will end. Some even make a cult and be together in one place to wait for that time. That is why I am very thankful and grateful that I know the bible and read it often. Because only the Bible will lead you and guide you the right way. People from all walks of life wrote something and published their books with their idea about anything and if we don't have the basic foundation like knowing what is written in the Bible we are easily get lost and believe differently. It was not only in the past decade that I started to read the bible. And I am thankful that I did. God is good all the time!

First Heavy Snow
Last night we had a heavy snow. This morning when I got up I looked outside and surprised, surprised the ground is covered with snow. Hubby and I went to picked up a friend and in her subdivision they had this huge pond. It was amazing how the fresh snow, early morning sunrise makes the whole scenario beautiful.
Then this afternoon I saw the sunrise beautiful as can be.
While I know myself as a creation of God, I am also obligated to realize and remember that everyone else and everything else are also God's creation.
