First Heavy Snow

Last night we had a heavy snow. This morning when I got up I looked outside and surprised, surprised the ground is covered with snow. Hubby and I went to picked up a friend and in  her subdivision they had this huge pond. It was amazing how the fresh snow, early morning sunrise makes the whole scenario beautiful.

Then this afternoon I saw the sunrise beautiful as can be.

While I know myself as a creation of God, I am also obligated to realize and remember that everyone else and everything else are also God's creation.

Advent/Christmas Plans

Spend today's six minutes with the Lord sketching below some ideas on how you can spend these 28 days of Advent well. Your plans can include items that are spiritual (deciding where and when you will pray each day)....personal (sending a Christmas card to someone with whom you've not been on good terms)... charitable (doing something for the poor)....

Boys Showdown

One month ago hubby and I went to Port Huron. While at the boardwalk we saw three boys practicing their skateboard stunts. As I was watching them I thought of taking pictures so I asked them if I could shot them and they gladly agree.

They willingly agreed to show me their stunts and they are pretty good at it. I asked their
facebook name and they gave it to me but I lost the small paper. I wish to see them when we get back to Port Huron.  Linking this to Creative Exchange, Mellow Yellow Monday, Blue Monday, Behind The Camera ,  Ruby Red Tuesday and Mosaic Monday

Something Is Wrong With Blogger

I just noticed that in my dashboard the sites that I've followed is not there. I wonder if this is just my site that is not working or is this the bloggers "oppps" thing. I have 18 followers so far and I like to see their updates in their blog so I could visit them. My other blogger site the dashboard is fine just wondering if only the new bloggers using blogspot are having this problem.

Sky Watch Friday

Though our sky is like this for days we do not have snow and for
seven years since I arrived here in Michigan this is the best
Thanksgiving day, weather wise. HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!

How to take out candle in the container

I love candles. I even wanted to learn how to make candles and at the church we made candles last summer and it was easy. Last week I had candles in tins. And immediately I used it and for just a matter of hours it is consumed. The hard part is taking out the candles from the container and usually this is the  dilemma of all candle users. Well it is not a problem anymore, just put the container inside the FREEZER, yes the freezer and let it stays there for hours. I even forget mine for days and the photo below is where my candle seated next to a squid box inside the freezer, lol!  Take out the candle container and  just squeeze, shake a little bit and the candle just  popped out. Like the photo above. Now I know the tricks I will keep all the candle containers that I could find because sooner than later I will be making more candles. ^_^
When the weather keep changing many people got sick too. Orange or any kind of citrus fruits is good in Vitamin C., so stock up with this for you and the whole family will be prevented by any kind of virus out there.

Sky & Light Trails

I was photographing morning sky today and guess, what I had a bonus, a light trail.

I feel I am addicted to light trails now. Too bad it gets cold in day or night but got to do it.

The Cake

This wedding cake is beautiful but the background is awful! A blue swimming pool and the tent steel post. I do not have a software to erase a background and make it nice so I cropped it. Thank goodness at least it work a little bit fine.

Odd?

Finding flowers that are not so common is awesome. My first time to see an eyeball flower. See for yourself, is that look an eyeball to you? But frankly, I like to have a plant like this ^_^

Ain't this very odd looking flower?

My Mondays Photo's

I saw this beautiful little garden at our local garden store and I immediately fall in love with it. I'd like to re-create this in my front yard next year, of course, no pumpkins but the flowers will be inside and some other flowers too. Crossing my fingers I can do it.

The color maybe blue but every time I see Ferris wheel like the photo below
I do feel happy like a kid who has this smile all the time, do you?

Hubby and I went to visit the Capuchin Retreat House at Washington, Michigan and I love it there. The place is so quite and  it is really a place for a retreat.

The Fire

This is a photo my brother sent to me the other day. He took this photo while the fire is going on. Do you know what makes this strange or unusual? Look at the rescuer who tries to hold the water hose. They don't have enough equipment to fight the fire but still they tried to save the house but to no avail. Linking to Friday My Town Shoot Out

Blue Dishes

It pays to asked. I was in this house for a garage sale. And he displayed one set of this blue set and the price is $4.00. Since I am collecting blue dishes my eyes keep looking on the piece. When I paid what I bought from the man I hesitantly asked him how much is the blue dish (though I see the sign $4.00) He told me the $4.00 the whole thing! I said that set? He said, no the whole box!! My eyes popped out...I said where is the box? And he said underneath the table. I know I ran towards the table and grabbed everything lol!! For $4.00 I have all. It pays to asked right? Linking this to TREASURE HUNT THURSDAY

A Common Sight

For Catholics November 1 is All Saints Day and November 2 is All Souls Day
In the Philippines we don't celebrate Halloween, some/few subdivisions in big cities do celebrate but the majority is busy preparing for Nov 1 and Nov 2.  The President declared the two days as a holiday so some people from the city went home to their provinces to visit the grave/cemetery/tombs of their loved ones. This photo was taken in the town where my parents and my nephew is buried. It is a small town and the cemetery is on a hill. The line up of tin cans and big basins for candle lighting is a common sight. My brother took a photo of my parents grave site and I get lonely and sad that I can't visit them but I am also thankful that I can see it through pictures.  Linking this post to Thursday's Things in a Row
